Stay Overview

Phang Nga Bay is in every Phuket package. What is not in any Phuket package is the bay itself — the sea caves only a narrow longtail can enter, the hongs (enclosed limestone lagoons open only to the sky), and Ko Panyi, a Muslim fishing village of 1,800 people built entirely on stilts above the water, where the family restaurant at the back of the village is accessible only if your guide knows which dock to tie up at.

The group speedboat carries 200 people to James Bond Island and returns by 4pm. A private longtail carries your family into Tham Lod cave at low tide, where the ceiling drops to arm's reach above the boat. It is the same bay. It is not the same day.

EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Private longtail — sea cave access impossible for group speedboats
  • Tham Lod cave at low tide — ceiling within touching distance
  • Ko Panyi stilts village — family restaurant, not the tourist entrance
  • Hong lagoon: enclosed limestone world, visible only from inside
  • Full day from Phuket, returns 5:30pm
  • Vegetarian lunch confirmed in advance
